It’s just before noon in the Stanley Box Office, and like clock work, Stanley Volunteer Nate Coley is ready for lunch. Just as the hand strikes twelve Nate say’s “It’s eat at the window time!” Equipped with his chicken salad sandwich, chips and Cola, Nate is always ready for lunch! It may seem like Nate’s favorite part of the day is lunch and it partially is but Nate enjoys spending his time here while volunteering for the Stanley.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, Nate assists with ticket sales in The Stanley Box Office and it’s not an uncommon occurrence for people to walk up to the window being greeted by Nate during his favorite time of the day, Lunch! Sometimes his customers are intrigued and even ask him what’s on his menu for the day.

Stanley Volunteer Nate Coley along with Stanley Box Office Manager Wayne Yaddow and Marketing & Special Events Coordinator Nichole Grant.

Nate started working as a volunteer during the summer of 2013 and it was his interest in music that led him to become a Stanley Volunteer. “The first time I picked up a guitar was 10 years ago and I instantly fell in love,” Nate said. “After that I knew I had to do something that involved music as a career path.” Nate continued striving to learn about his passion while studying Music Industry at Herkimer College. In his spare time he writes poetry and songs. In 2012, one of his works of poetry was published. When he is rocking out, Nate’s guitar of choice is a candy apple red Jackson Electric Guitar decaled with flames.

Nate says his favorite part about volunteering at The Stanley is the overall environment and the people he works with. “Ticketing can be hectic at times but when there are shows back to back it’s a lot of fun.”

Out of all the shows since he first started volunteering at The Stanley, Nate said his favorite would have to be the Broadway Musical “We Will Rock You.” He admits he has always been a Queen fan. “They’re a band I grew up listening too and that’s the type of music I’ve always gravitated towards.”

The next time you stop by The Stanley on Tuesday or Thursday be sure to say hello to our volunteer Nate and remember if it’s noon he’s on lunch but available to assist with any Stanley ticketing needs!
