My favorite memory at The Stanley was the evening when I was nominated to Conduct the Utica Symphony Orchestra for the "Maestro Madness" fundraiser on March 26, 2012. Three other people from the community were nominated so I had significant competition. During the event's intermission, the audience "voted" for the maestro of their choice by placing money in any of four donation boxes located in the foyer. Each box was labeled with a nominee name, and the nominee that raised the most money to support the USO would decide who would be selected to conduct the concert finale. Needless to say, I raised the largest amount of money and was declared the winner with the title of "The Maddest, Baddest Maestro in Mohawk Valley!"

I cannot describe the overwhelming sensation of conducting the Utica Symphony Orchestra. It was the opportunity of a lifetime. In addition to listening to the amazing sound quality from this first-rate ensemble of professional musicians, I cannot describe the amazing feeling of conducting music that was actually flowing from my fingertips. Winning the vote for Maestro was one of the top fives experiences of my life. I will be forever grateful to the Stanley Theater and it will always be a part of who I am.

Also, a close second was the night that The Stanley unveiled the World's Largest LED and Freestanding Chandelier, which was created by my family's business Meyda Tiffany Lighting.
